In Spain, Mother’s Day, the Día de la Madre, is the first Sunday of May. Father’s Day, the Día del Padre, is 19 March, San José. Grandparents’ Day is 26 July.

The biggest gift day for many families is not Christmas but Three Kings’ Day, Reyes, on 6 January. And in Catalonia, Sant Jordi on 23 April is the day people give each other a book and a rose.

Each of these days is one more reason to call, visit or share a meal with the people you love.
